Individual lessons are available for most ages and skill levels to meet each student’s needs. Lessons offered in Piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet and voice. Individual lessons are available throughout the year. Separate registration and scheduling required for summer sessions.

CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
Enrich student’s musical development through Harmonia School’s certificate program. This comprehensive program, developed by the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Academy for Music), will lead to improved performance skills and a deeper understanding and appreciation of music. Although parents often believe that theory and musicianship courses are college level studies, the sooner students begin to acquire essential music skills, the better they will be able to understand and appreciate more fully the music they are learning.
This class includes once a week lesson and weekly 45 minutes Theory class (includes ear training, sight singing)

Many students are highly motivated by group instruction, consisting of similar ages and levels of abilities, and enjoy the social interaction it provides. After two semesters of group classes, students a re encouraged to progress to individual lessons
PIANO GROUP CLASSES
Music in Me & More Music In Me (ages 3 - 4)
Music in Me is a dynamic readiness program for young children with emphasis on ear training, solfege singing, movement, keyboard activities, pitch and rhythm awareness. Creativity is stressed. Parent involvement in class and at home.
$459 / 17 week of 45 minutes sessions + $25 material fee (5 payments of $96 per month)
Harmony Road I & II (ages 41/2 - 6)
The Harmony Road course is carefully constructed for children to learn the basic building blocks of music. Emphasis is on ear training, solfege singing, keyboard playing, ensemble and rhythm activities, movement and music creativity. This exceptional course gives the student "inner hearing", which makes transposing, improvisation and composing easily accessible in their musical studies. Parent involvement in class and at home.
$510 / 17 week of 55minutes sessions + $30 material fee (5 payments of $105 per month)
The Young Musician I & II (ages 6 - 7)
The Young Musician course introduces beginning students to keyboard performance and note reading in a holistic program, including the organized development of pitch, rhythm, solfege singing, keyboard and movement activities. Parent involvement in class and at home.

VIOLIN CLASSES

Violin (ages 4 - 5)
Violin Jr. (ages 6 - 7)
This course is an introduction to the violin in a small group setting. Students will learn to care for their violins, proper positions and posture, simple rhythmic patterns to be played on open strings, introductory melodies and basic note reading. Parent’s attendance and participation is encouraged. A perfect combination of Suzuki and Traditional violin training for young students.

CHILDREN’S VOICE CLASSES

Ages 8 - 14
The young voice is a delicate instrument and Harmonia School is cautious in treating it carefully. Children’s Voice Class provides a wonderful introduction to choral singing for boys and girls. Fundamental concepts of music are explored through singing, including note reading, solfege techniques, song learning, posture, performance skills and healthy tone production. Emphasis on correct breathing and vocal techniques is emphasized to nurture the developing singer.

Learn the basics of guitar playing in a fun, group environment. Students will learn how to strum chords, play songs and read music. No previous musical experience is necessary. Participants must bring their own guitar and picks.

| MUSIC THEORY I & II |
Music theory is essential to understanding the structure and form that exists in the pieces that musicians learn and perform. Students will learn in-depth instruction in the areas of ear training, melody, harmony, rhythm, form, and expression. A skill assessment may be given prior to enrollment to determine the appropriate level of study.

Get together with other musicians to experience the fun of playing in an ensemble. You can improve your instrumental and listening skills by harmonizing with other musicians. Formed with 4 or more students of similar skill and age. |
